Job Description: Solutions Architect Designer
Our client, a Telecoms company, is seeking a seasoned Solutions Architect Designer with 5 to 10 years of experience.
The role involves developing and implementing systems architecture designs that align with business needs.
Responsibilities include:
1. Designing innovative solutions based on business requirements.
2. Creating functional specifications.
3. Assessing current software systems to identify areas for improvement.
4. Overseeing development teams.
5. Leading projects requiring in-depth analysis of systems, data, and business processes.
6. Modeling requirements and applying best practices in application methodology.
7. Resolving technical problems as they arise.
8. Researching emerging technologies and proposing necessary changes.
9. Building and integrating information systems to meet organizational needs.
10. Collaborating with Enterprise Architects to improve existing systems architecture.
11. Communicating technical issues to stakeholders.
12. Assessing the business impact of technical decisions.
13. Providing updates on product development to stakeholders.
14. Managing stakeholder expectations regarding milestones and deadlines.
15. Supervising and guiding development teams.
16. Ensuring IT security standards (ISO27001) are incorporated and maintained.
17. Supporting health, safety, environmental, business continuity, and information security initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
* Proven experience in engineering and software solution design.
* Deep understanding of integration techniques and modern coding languages.
* Knowledge of integration technologies (SOAP, REST APIs, Middleware like BizTalk).
* Experience in Data Warehouse design and optimization.
* Familiarity with ITIL/Remedy.
* Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools.
* Hons Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Engineering.
* Knowledge of Cloud architectures.
The client is located near Reading; candidates should ideally live within 60 minutes commuting distance.
The role offers remote work 2-3 days a week, with 2 days in the office.
The salary range is £75K - £90K plus benefits.
