The Role:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Minworth/Birmingham. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the production process as efficiently and effectively as possible, ensuring that finished products are safe, dependable, and meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process Improvement: Provide input on processes from a quality perspective and assist in implementing new processes.
* Corrective Actions: Develop and design corrective actions for problems and establish a problem-solving technique to reduce process variation.
* Data Collection: Gather data from customers and internal sources as input for problem-solving and communicate/report to appropriate personnel.
* Operational Support: Support operational teams to ensure prompt and robust actions are initiated.
* Culture Development: Champion lean engineering goals and implement and maintain a lean culture within the organization.
* Project Administration: Administer all projects and documentation (quality system) related to assigned processes/launches.
* Quality System Maintenance: Maintain and update the Quality System in line with ISO 9001 requirements and oversee any required actions.
* Mentorship: Mentor and support the organisation on quality-related tools such as problem-solving tools, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Experience: 2-3 years' experience in a similar role is essential.
* Industry Background: A background in the automotive or logistics industry is preferred.
* Auditing Experience: ISO 9001 or 16949 Auditor training and qualification is essential.
* Risk Management: Experience in auditing and risk management using tools such as FMEA.
* Customer Service: Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
* Educational Qualification: Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant field.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
* Lean Six Sigma: Lean Six Sigma experience would be beneficial.
Compensation:
We offer a market competitive salary between £45,000 - £65,000 per annum depending on experience, plus benefits.
