The role
As Head of Sound Check you will need to strategically lead and manage the partnership between The Learning Foundry and Future Yard CIC, by working in collaboration to create a highly effective and cohesive operating model across all Sound Check funded learning programmes (Skills Bootcamps, Study Programme and Adult Skills Fund).
You will manage the inspiring and engaging programmes for young people and adults that will lead to better outcomes for them by developing their skills, knowledge and behaviours to progress into employment, or further training/education within the live music sector.
You will also need to lead the Sound Check delivery partnership team in raising and maintaining a high Quality of Education in alignment with OFSTED Education Inspection Framework and in meeting all contractual and funding requirements for both The Learning Foundry and Future Yard CIC.
You will be expected to drive continuous improvement that will deliver sustainable, profitable growth of Sound Check which aligns to the values, strategic objectives, goals and aspirations of both The Learning Foundry and Future Yard CIC.

The right fit
1. You must have experience leading and managing a team within the education and skills sector with a strong emphasis on quality and knowledge of funding compliance.
2. It is imperative that you are passionate about working within the live music sector.
3. You’ll have excellent partnership skills with experience in building and maintaining long and trusted relationships between organisations.
4. You will also need excellent communication skills both written and verbally in order to produce reports and presentations.
5. You must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently and make decisions confidently.
6. You will need strong IT skills in order to collate data and statistics.
7. You must possess strong performance management skills, with demonstrable evidence of setting clear and measurable goals, monitoring and achieving targets and working to deadlines.
8. You need a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle as well as an enhanced DBS check.
