Do you love working with children and creating magical moments in their early years? We’ve got the perfect opportunity for you! At Little Dragons, we provide a nurturing environment for children aged 2-5 and offer out-of-school care for children up to 11. We're on the hunt for a qualified level 2 or 3 practitioner who is energetic, creative, and passionate to join our dynamic team. Here's what you'll be doing:
The Specifics:
Contracted hours between 20 - 40 per week.
Working hours between 7:45 - 6:15 on a flexible rota.
Term time only + Up to 10 days (possibility of all year contract).
Your Role:
* Support the Manager, Deputy Manager, and Supervisors in delivering high-quality childcare and education.
* Provide a safe, caring environment that promotes emotional, social, and educational growth.
* Actively safeguard the well-being of children, adhering to Little Dragons’ policies.
* Plan and create fun, engaging activities that cater to individual and group needs.
* Be a key person for a group of children, ensuring their needs are met while liaising closely with parents.
Your Impact:
* Help children flourish emotionally, socially, and educationally.
* Foster independence in self-care like dressing, handwashing, and toileting.
* Support children with special needs and those for whom English is an additional language, tailoring your approach to fit their unique requirements.
* Keep thorough records of children’s progress, monitor for early intervention needs, and collaborate with management and other professionals.
Professional Development:
* Grow your skills through regular in-house and external training.
* Stay up-to-date with child development and safeguarding practices, including areas like child protection, FGM, and County Lines.
