Working with the relevant Lead Engineer, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems, procedures, and equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment, working to set timelines.
What you’ll do:
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Plan, co-ordinate and implement the most efficient and cost-effective production methods required to manufacture major sub-components and completed machines.
* Co-ordinate Production, Engineering, and Quality Assurance Departments to establish/implement containment and root cause fixes to manufacturing issues.
* Implement best practice standard work onto the shop floor.
* Build/Drawing pack creation & maintenance in conjunction with Engineering Change Orders & New Product Development.
* Liaise with cross-functional departments e.g., supply chain, engineering, quality.
* Implement Lean Manufacturing principles including Line Balance, 5S, Poke Yoke.
* Ensure current processes and all new processes encompass safe working practices.
* Provide production support to the Manufacturing Department.
* Problem Solving.

What you’ll bring:
Experience & Qualifications:
* Minimum HNC / HND Engineering Qualification or demonstrate extensive relevant knowledge through on-job experience.
* Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle) would be advantageous.
* Competent in the use of Microsoft packages.
* Experience of 3D modelling software would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
* Knowledge of Machine Shop and Fabrication would be advantageous.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Good organisational skills.
* Logical & Methodical approach to problem solving.
* Ability to work with others to meet deadlines.
