Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Humly is seeking compassionate and proactive individuals to provide 1:1 and small group support to children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, and other complex needs in a specialist SEN school.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 15:30 (30-minute lunch break)
Total Weekly Hours: 35 hours
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Provide tailored support to students with additional needs, including communication difficulties, sensory processing disorders, and behavioural challenges.
* Assist in implementing individual learning plans, sensory activities, and behaviour support strategies tailored to each student’s needs.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment, helping students develop confidence, independence, and life skills.
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals to support each student’s holistic development.
* Help with daily routines, including personal care, sensory activities, and classroom transitions, where necessary.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with students, providing consistent emotional and behavioural support to help them achieve their goals.

* Experience working in a care setting, residential care, specialist schools, youth work, or with vulnerable children and young people.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach, with the ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, staff, and families.
* Resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of children with SEN.
