Part Time Administration Role for Accountants’ Office 30 hours per week, salary £20,000, hours can be split over 4 or 5 days. We have a small, busy accountants’ office in Wimborne, Dorset. We have our technical needs sorted out, but we need someone who can support our fee earners in many ways. Some of those ways are: Ensuring that we have the right routine information from our clients in good time for our fee earners to process in accordance with our work schedules. Organising our document flow, which can include paper books and records, but is mostly electronic. Liaising from time to time with our clients, mainly by email and on the telephone, to ask non-technical, or slightly technical questions about their accounts and transactional records. Liaising with our IT support provider to ensure that our IT systems are running in an efficient and ordered manner. Occasionally, there may be a need to produce clear and efficient reports and other communications using Word and Excel for our internal needs and those of clients. There may be other needs that sometimes arise but are not routine. SO: The skills needed are: Organisational Communicative Inter-personal Numerate Literate It may be an advantage if you have worked in an accountants’ office before, or at least in an administrative role in a financial environment. It is necessary to be able to write a professional and grammatical business letter and email, and to communicate professionally and tactfully on the telephone. You need to know that the present incumbent has been working here for over 30 years and is leaving to retire. The systems and processes she works to have grown over a long period of time and may require radical change.
