Job Title: Gowlands Support Worker

Hamelin has a duty to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of the individuals we support and is committed to doing so. Hamelin expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure & other safeguarding clearance.

Would you thrive as part of an innovative, dynamic and forward-thinking team working to redefine care?

If yes, look no further, as Hamelin is seeking Support Workers to join us on our mission to build inclusive, compassionate and empowering environments for those with learning disabilities.

Our mission:

At Hamelin we're not just a care organisation – we are a team of innovators and educators working with a common purpose. We believe in empowering individuals with learning disabilities to lead independent lives, free from discrimination.

Your impact:

As a Support Worker, you will work closely with the people we support, promoting their independence and supporting them to do the things they are passionate about.

You will join the committed team at our 9-bed short stay home, Gowlands, in Rochford, playing a pivotal role in delivering exceptional person-centred care and helping create unforgettable holiday experiences for our people. Your role will involve providing care, support, and assistance to guests, ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable holiday experience.

In this role you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of others, helping them to live independently and participate in a range of activities. You will also be an ambassador, tailoring your approach to guests’ needs and advocating to ensure their voices are heard.

About you:

1. You have a genuine passion for empowering others, thinking differently and enhancing the lives of autistic adults and people with learning disabilities.
2. You have an empathetic and patient nature, with the ability to respond calmly to a variety of situations.
3. You embrace change and enjoy implementing new ideas.
4. You are willing to learn how to use technology such as Microsoft Outlook and LogMyCare.

Why work with us?

1. A supportive and inclusive working environment that values teamwork and innovation.
2. Opportunities for professional development, training, and career progression.
3. The chance to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.

Come join our team and be a part of something truly special – where every day is a chance to make a difference and spread joy. Apply now with your CV and a compelling cover letter telling us why you are passionate about this role and how you would contribute to Hamelin’s mission.

Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and we are unable to offer sponsorships at this time. Thank you for considering joining our team at Hamelin.
