We're on a mission to build something unique and special in the U.K. Esquires Shirley will be opening in February 2025 and we have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Deputy Manager to help us deliver this.
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the management team, ensuring smooth operations, and driving sales performance. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for Catering management. The Deputy Manager will assist in overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and enhancing customer satisfaction. This is a 40 hour weekly contract including weekends.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Store Manager in daily operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
* Lead and motivate the team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
* Manage inventory levels, including ordering stock and conducting regular audits
* Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and communication
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and phone etiquette
* Support training and development of staff to enhance skills in sales management and food and drink service
* Implement promotional strategies to drive sales and increase store visibility
* Maintain administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and record-keeping
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the store
Qualifications
* Proven experience in catering and hospitality management or a similar role is essential
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
* Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
* Strong sales management abilities with a track record of achieving targets
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
* Proficient in administrative tasks with attention to detail
* A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing situations
