NHS West Sussex Talking Therapies have 2 full-time Senior PWP roles available on a 12 month contact; one in our South Team and one in our West Team.
Join us and help to continue building on our success working with adults with anxiety disorders & depression in a primary care setting. You will provide case management and clinical skills supervision to a team of qualified and trainee PWPs, with a strong emphasis on developing our trainees. You will also manage a patient caseload offering high quality, evidence-based low intensity interventions and assessments by telephone, video, face to face, groups and online.

Our South Team is based in Worthing and covers the Shoreham, Lancing, Worthing and Littlehampton areas. Our West Team is based in Chichester and covers the Chichester, Bognor Regis, Arundel, Pulborough, Midhurst areas.
We provide services Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm with plenty of opportunities to work flexible hours and staff have laptops and mobiles allowing for office and home working flexibility.
Provide assessment and evidenced based Low intensity interventions eg psycho-educational interventions, Guided Self Help, computerised CBT to patients who access NHS West Sussex Talking Therapies drawing from CBT theories and techniques.
Provide in depth risk assessment and management of patients referred to service, managing Safeguarding Children and Protection of Vulnerable Adults referrals, and liaising with GPs and Specialist secondary care services to ensure the safety of the patient or others.
Provide case management and group based clinical supervision to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners.
Assess and integrate issues surrounding work and employment into the overall therapy process.
Work with more complex / severe presenting difficulties of patients accessing Step 2 level of interventions.
Provide a service that is equitable, non-discriminatory and accessible to a broad range of patients who have common mental health problems and who are over 18 years of age.
Support GPs and other primary care workers in making appropriate referrals
To work with colleagues to formulate, implement and evaluate therapy plans for patients.
To maintain a varied clinical caseload within agreed limits and supervision.

Our South locality is based in Worthing (the “new Brighton” as reported in national media recently) and we work closely with our teams in the West and North of the county.
