You will provide senior level planning expertise to deliver the council’s planning functions in a customer focused and solutions led way creating the right conditions for accelerating high-quality development and supporting sustainable growth in Swindon.
Your next role
As an experienced Development Management Planner, you will build trust and be visible to key development partners, major housebuilders and residents ensuring that planning services provide early confidence to inward investment and growth opportunities which actively support the delivery of the council’s inclusive economy & sustainability priorities.
Leading a key Development Management team, you will support the Chief Planning Officer to unlock planning barriers to support key regeneration projects, transform the town centre and support the council’s emerging new ways of localities working.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
