SVP Healthcare are looking to recruit an Assistant Deputy Manager for our Care Home in North Shields to work alongside our Registered Manager and our Deputy Manager. The ideal applicant will have experience as a senior care and have meds management and also be willing to take on audit, paperwork and management tasks including rotas.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for monitoring standards of care delivered by care staff by observation and direct involvement, ensuring that all residents receive quality medical and personal care and that care plans are fully maintained.
* Dispensing medication.
* To support the Manager and or Deputy in the implementation of all policies, procedure and necessary paperwork.
* Prepare the staff duty rota to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times. Appraise and supervise staff.
* Act as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their well being.
* Liase with the Home Manager/ Deputy across the range of operational activity to be able to assume responsibility for managing the Home during the manager’s scheduled and unscheduled absences.
Skills Required
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes
* Minimum 5-7 years experience in care home experience
* Computer skills
* Evidence of up to date training
* Knowledge of the CQC requirements
* Able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities
Job Type: Part-time / Full-time
Pay: From £14.00 per hour
