About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a forward-thinking educational institution in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the tailored support required to thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs.
2. Develop and implement effective strategies to support students’ learning and development.
3. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individualised education plans.
4. Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN, ensuring high standards of achievement.
5. Provide training and support to staff on SEN best practices.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a recognised SENCO qualification.
2. Proven experience in a SENCO role or similar position.
3. Strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
