The Role
We have an opportunity for a Junior Finance Accountant to join the team responsible for looking after our Head Office costs and reporting.
The successful candidate will have an excellent opportunity to progress their career, supporting the Senior Finance Accountant in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. They will be a highly motivated and ambitious individual always looking to develop their skill set. They will have some experience of financial accounting and will be comfortable working against deadlines, to a high standard whilst supporting the financial reporting team in the delivery of statutory audits at Group and subsidiary level.
You Will
* Assist in preparation of annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS, local GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
* Assist with completion of audits including liaison with external auditors
* Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for month end and year end
* Posting of journals
* Liaising with departments within Finance to help with timely completion of audit tasks
* Preparation of monthly gift voucher reconciliations for review
* Manage ad hoc requirements, liaising with other departments within Superdry as needed by your line manager
* Resolving reconciling items from your own and colleagues’ reconciliations in a timely manner and reporting discrepancies or potential fraud to senior management
You Are
* Proven track record of managing and delivering against competing deadlines
* Good attention to detail, good analytical skills, and the ability to analyse numbers quickly and accurately
* The ability to foster strong working relationships with the team and with cross functional team members
* Highly organised, diligent person with strong attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines
