We are currently seeking a Project Manager with extensive EPC substation experience. In this role, you will be responsible for managing project operations and ensuring timely delivery, safety, and financial performance. You will play a critical role in leading cross-functional teams and managing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
As a Project Manager, you’ll be part of Linxon’s UK portfolio, working on high-impact energy infrastructure projects across the UK.
What will you do?
* Ensure high safety standards and effective site mobilisation, leading projects to timely meet key milestones.
* Lead project planning and execution to ensure timely and successful delivery.
* Track progress to ensure timely project delivery and resolve any delays promptly.
* Ensure adherence to project key milestones and deadlines.
* Oversee and actively engage with the engineering process to ensure alignment with project objectives.
* Track and coordinate the procurement process to maintain timely delivery of materials and services.
* Facilitate effective integration and communication between suppliers, engineering teams, site personnel, and clients.
* Maintain a strong presence on-site during the construction phase, through commissioning, and up to energisation, ensuring all activities meet quality and safety standards.
* Oversee the final delivery and handover of the project, ensuring full compliance and client satisfaction.
* Monitor contractor site activities, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, safety, and environmental standards.
* Manage commissioning and final handover, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction.
* Act as the NEC Project Manager (or equivalent for other forms of contract), ensuring contractual obligations are met.
Experience Required:
* Experience in Electrical Transmission projects, including Civil Construction.
* Extensive years of experience managing EPC substation projects, with a strong focus on site project management.
* Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex EPC projects.
* Relevant years of experience in project management.
* Experience leading project teams through the full project life cycle from tender to handover.
* Experience managing budget and cost control, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Strong knowledge of Engineering procurement and construction processes and the ability to manage Engineering, material and site work delivery schedules.
* Experience in health, safety, and environmental management, particularly with respect to CDM regulations and site safety.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and engaging with clients and suppliers.
* Proven experience with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices with Electrical substation.
* Working knowledge of CDM regulations and experience implementing safety practices on EPC sites.
* Proficiency in contract management (NEC or FIDIC) and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
* Experience in risk mitigation & opportunity management.
* Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or related field).
* Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
