We currently seek a Hard Services Operations Manager at a significant MoD site near Watford where Skanska has a long-term contract to deliver Hard, Soft, Technical, and Project Management services to their Customer.
The role will see you reporting into the Senior Operations Manager for the building services, fabric, utilities, engineering, and specialist sub-contractor services necessary to support Operational, Planned, and Reactive maintenance works for the site.
You Will:
* Line manage the service teams delivering the Operational, Planned & Reactive maintenance, small works, and operational support for critical assets.
* Provide overall management of A&E associated KPIs, ensuring they are reported on clearly & transparently. Provide detailed reports of any failure, undertaking Root Cause Analysis investigations where required to support continuous improvement. In addition, provide detailed & justified mitigations in line with the KPI contractual agreement.
* Develop and implement the site maintenance programs for all site services and assets.
* Ensure that engineering management strategies and processes are planned and implemented.
* Manage the engineering budgets within delegated obligations and in accordance with personal objectives.
* Prepare action plans and ensure they are implemented for identified items arising from audits and inspections.
* In conjunction with the Senior Operations Manager, PPM Contracts Manager & Compliance Manager, provide support for statutory and technical compliance of assets, systems, processes, and working environments in conjunction with the A&E Team.
We are looking for:
* Previous experience in a similar role within Facilities Management - this could be an Operations Management, Hard Services Lead, Technical Maintenance Lead/Manager; if you are a Technical Supervisor looking for your first operations management role, we would like to see your CV.
* Evidence of effective people leadership.
* Knowledge/Experience in open and closed protocol BMS systems (Johnson, Honeywell, Satchwell, etc.), network-based fire alarm, CCTV, access control systems, IDS, PA/VA, and other electronic building services.
* Experience of complex electrical distribution private networks up to 11KV and associated large standby generator and UPS systems, large air conditioning plant, BMS, and complex fire and security systems.
* Proficient in Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to manage a number of services simultaneously in accordance with the Northwood SLAs and client expectations.
* Ability to gain a high level of MoD security clearance is mandatory.
* Able to work on site full time.
