Job summary We are looking for an individual to fill this post within the Haematology Department (Adult Haemostasis and Thrombosis subspecialty) at St Jamess University Hospital. The Leeds Comprehensive Care Haemophilia Centre for adults is based in the Department and is part of the NW Yorkshire Haemophilia network. The Haemostasis and Thrombosis team is a key contributor to a multidisciplinary VTE service. And provides leadership for the Leeds Anticoagulant Service. There is a proactive combined Haematology Obstetric clinic that is a hub centre in a maternal medicine network and combined Haematology Obstetric clinic. Candidates with broad interests in Haemostasis and Thrombosis are welcome and it is expected that the successful candidate will participate in both the bleeding disorders and the Thrombosis service. The post holder will be expected to participate in the out of hours on call rota for the Northwest Yorkshire Haemophilia Network and provide out of hours specialist advisory Thrombosis advice for Leeds Teaching Hospitals Main duties of the job The successful applicant should possess MRCP and FRCPath (or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register.
