* £42,367 - £45,595 per annum (pro rata for part time)

Your role and responsibilities
* Be a key member of the Independence and Wellbeing Service (IWS) Ipswich and East Team, located at Beacon House in Ipswich.
* Provide professional support and case guidance within the team alongside wider management support, which will involve case discussions and reflective practice.
* Supervise a small number of Independent Well-being Practitioners, including performance management and goal setting.
* Support the team manager in the effective overall running of the team.
* Have an active role in the triage of new referrals and allocation of work, utilising risk management skills.
* Hold a small caseload involving responsibility for complex and challenging cases.
* Be a part of the wider management team in IWS; supporting with the other teams as required and partaking in personal and professional development.
You will need
* To be a qualified Social Worker with ideally two years post qualifying experience.
* Experience in crisis response/duty work.
* Experience in supervising other staff and/or peer group support.
* An excellent understanding of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
* A keen focus on preventative social work and a creative mindset in achieving good outcomes.
* A willingness to develop your career, particularly in relation to Best Interest Assessments.
The team
The Independence and Well-being Service (IWS) is the front door Social Work team, working alongside Customer First to offer robust advice, information, equipment, and digital care aids at the earliest point of an individual's journey into Adult Social Care. There are three IWS teams in Adult Social Care, located in Waveney, West Suffolk and Ipswich.
IWS work involves, but is not limited to:
* Managing a busy triage process and risk assessing all new referrals.
* Arranging reablement services.
* Undertaking short term assessments.
* Mental capacity assessments.
* Home visits where appropriate.
* Commissioning services.
* Reviewing support.
