JOB OVERVIEW The Group Financial Reporting Team is responsible for overseeing statutory reporting at the consolidated Group level, ensuring financial control of Study Group’s functional and corporate holding entities, providing technical accounting advice at the Group level, and managing key aspects of the monthly management accounts, forecasting, and budgeting processes. The Group Financial Reporting Manager plays a pivotal role in this team, leading the Group Financial Accountant to ensure a robust month-end close for the functional and corporate holding entities. This role includes preparing consolidated Group financial statements, corporate entity financial statements, and contributing to the accurate production of sections of the monthly management accounts. ABOUT THE ROLE Preparation of a portion of the Group monthly management accounts – called the business performance report (BPR) including reporting and analysis of cash flows, capex, liquidity and exceptional costs. Understanding and investigating the variances to budget/forecast and preparing the slides to go into the BPR. Review of and support in the process of the balance sheet reporting in the BPR. Oversee the preparation, posting and review of journals in respect of Group financing, intercompany, corporate holding entities and consolidation adjustments. Oversee the preparation, posting and review of journals in respect of the month end actuals for the functional areas of the Group. Liaise with the Head of Group Tax and Treasury Manager to assist with intercompany settlements, dividend payments, and other areas relating to the Group’s corporate and tax structure to ensure compliance with all tax and banking requirements. Other ad hoc reporting, such as assisting Head of Global Financial Control with lenders or PE owner reporting where needed. Management of one direct report. Support the Group Financial Accountant to ensure they are progressing and developing within the role. Ensure their objectives and tasks are set according to business needs and review their outputs. Raise any issues or risk to the Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager. Preparation of the transfer pricing calculations for the group at year-end and liaising with the Head of Tax during the year to monitor any changes required to the transfer pricing model. Own the preparation of the non-recurring exceptional cash flow and liaise with team members as required to obtain the inputs. Prepare slides for associated Board reporting. Prepare bottom-up cash flow forecasting templates and consolidation files in preparation for each forecasting cycle. Assist in the consolidation of the bottom-up templates ABOUT YOU Qualifications & Experience: Fully qualified ACA/ACCA. Application of IFRS to complex situations Has trained in an audit practice or had direct involvement in the audit in a previous role Using a range of finance/MI systems Solid understanding of Group consolidation adjustments under IFRS. Previous experience with a multi-currency Group Experience in the preparation of financial statements. Ability to communicate effectively and convey technical information to non-finance audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good working knowledge of accountancy systems (Agresso or Adaptive an advantage) Strong Excel skills. Detailed knowledge of IFRS9 desirable.
