Join our Engineering and Design Team as an Assistant Highway Engineer and contribute to Bristol's journey towards a low-carbon, sustainable city. We're seeking individuals passionate about shaping our city's future in response to the climate emergency.
Your Role:
Join our welcoming and passionate team and contribute to exciting urban transport and public space projects. You'll be involved in every stage, from initial concept design to final project completion. Your responsibilities will include:
* Creating innovative designs using AutoCAD and related software.
* Preparing detailed specifications and contract documents.
* Measuring proposed work and generating accurate bills of quantities.
* Monitoring project progress on-site.

Who We're Looking For:
We're seeking a motivated individual to join our team. You might be a good fit if you:
* Are a Graduate Civil Engineer, or
* Hold one of the qualifications listed in the attached Person Specification, or
* Have practical experience designing and delivering urban highway projects.
It would be a significant advantage if you have a strong understanding of the challenges involved in building cycle lanes, bus priority routes, and improving public spaces within cities.
Beyond Your Technical Expertise, You Should Also Possess:
* Excellent communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and contractors.
* Strong teamwork abilities, coupled with the capacity to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
* Experience using digital tools for design, document preparation, and project scheduling.
