Responsibilities:
1. Develop bid plan with Business Development and manage a team to achieve bid deliverables - typically involving Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Quality, Finance, Contracts & Commercial and external partners.
2. Obtain bid & proposal spend for bid managed opportunities. Ensure resource demand for these bidding activities is accurately captured and controlled via Microsoft Project Server and addressed through resource councils.
3. May also be required to execute delivery of programmes on contract award.
4. Direct, motivate, and provide leadership for the team to deliver bid/programme to agreed time, budget, quality, and benefits.
5. Ensure effective and open communication throughout the team and with stakeholders.
6. Direct the supply chain for the bid/programme.
7. Integrate the reporting for the programme, making best use of available PMO capabilities.
8. Ensure team completes inputs as per the Company governance process, conducting gate reviews to schedule including approval from all stakeholders.
9. Co-operate with management to meet the employer's legal duties and take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Driven and experienced bid manager with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective plans to secure business and deliver.
2. Awareness of offset / industrialization requirements.
3. Strong record of operating in a customer service environment.
4. Knowledge of the functional disciplines and supply chain that require management.
5. Track record of building and maintaining excellent relationships.
6. Equivalent of 5 years' experience managing bids and programmes or in a functional area with proven delivery track record.
7. Knowledge and demonstrable experience of PPM techniques.

9. Knowledge of aerospace industry.
10. Extensive knowledge of MS Office - particularly MS Project.
11. Willingness to develop.
Other:
9 day fortnight - 37 hrs p/w
Hybrid pattern - min 3 days in office, dependent on project and workload
Up to 25% (average 10%) UK travel to other Company/Client sites in the UK
