The Role: As an Audio Visual Installation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the installation of state-of-the-art AV systems in corporate and commercial spaces across the UK. You will be responsible for 1st and 2nd fix installations, including cable termination, crimping, and soldering, to ensure systems are fully functional and meet our high standards of quality. Key Responsibilities: Carry out 1st and 2nd fix AV installations, including but not limited to cable management, fixing of AV hardware, and ensuring all components are securely in place. Terminate, crimp, and solder cables to industry standards for reliable and long-lasting connections. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and efficient installations. Ensure all installations meet client requirements and company standards for performance, functionality, and aesthetics. Provide on-site support, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver exceptional customer service. Travel across the UK to project sites, ensuring installations are completed to the highest standard within the agreed timelines. Work closely with senior engineers to assist in system testing, commissioning, and training. Requirements: Proven experience in AV installations, particularly 1st and 2nd fix, with expertise in cable termination, crimping, and soldering. Strong technical knowledge of AV systems, including displays, projectors, sound systems, and control systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication skills and a client-focused attitude. Full UK driving license and the ability to travel across the UK. All applicants must be within 1.5 hours of PL30 (Bodmin, Cornwall) Desirable Skills: Experience with commercial AV systems, including corporate boardrooms, meeting rooms, and conference spaces. Familiarity with industry-standard AV software and control systems. Relevant AV qualifications or certifications (e.g., CTS, CEDIA).
