The Role:
The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the finance department and other business departments across the Infinity organization. This role involves partnering with various departments and department heads to provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and ensure that financial objectives are aligned with the company's overall goals.
What skills and working characteristics should this person have?
* A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA).
* Proven experience in a finance business partnering role, preferably within an SME.
* Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing business challenges.
* Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, systems such as Business Central and Workspace 365, and financial modelling software.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in project managing change/department initiatives and holding teams/individuals to account for process improvement (preferred).
* Experience in a SaaS business, selling both professional services and software (preferred).
As a Finance Business Partner you'll be responsible for:
* Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analyses to senior management and departmental heads.
* Monitor and analyse financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying variances and providing actionable insights.
* Monitor and analyse billing data (recursive and non-recursive) to promote accuracy and provide actionable insights and process improvements.
* Create and manage the business KPI reporting.
* Collaborate with business units to develop forecasts, annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
* Provide financial guidance and support to departmental heads on key strategic initiatives and business cases.
* Analyse and assess the financial impact of potential business decisions, investments, and projects.
* Support the business with KPI target setting as part of the planning process.
* Act as the primary finance contact for the departments, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
* Provide regular financial updates and insights to department heads to support operational and strategic decision-making.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the departments.
* Business Partner the wider finance team on internal finance process improvement.
* Lead and mentor junior members of the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
* Provide guidance and support to team members on complex financial issues and projects.
* Encourage collaboration, process improvement and knowledge sharing within the finance team and across the organization.
£70,000 - £80,000 a year
