Role Overview
As an Office-Based Pre-Installations & Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients experience seamless installations and exceptional post-installation support. Your tasks will include setting up phone systems, managing routers and Wi-Fi points, handling integrations, and performing post-installation checks.
Key Responsibilities
Phone System Management
* Build sites, add devices, and configure Yealink provisioning server.
* Secure SIP lines, add telephone numbers, activate archive features.
* Amend music on hold, handle tickets to Intermedia for specific adjustments.
* Set up admin users and add details to Zoho.
* Integrate AI and manage updates.
* Zendesk Coordination
* Add customers to Zendesk and schedule installation dates.
Router and WiFi Management
* Adopt routers to Omada, programme, and ship to customers.
* Notify customers of router dispatch and coordinate Openreach visits.
* Verify online service status.
* Build sites and adopt APs and switches, ensuring firmware is up-to-date.
Integrations
* Build customer profiles, add and license users, and update Zoho with login details.
* Stock and Kit Management
* Pick kits for upcoming installations.
Post Installation Checks
* Conduct customer calls and send support documentation.
* Review end-of-installation documents and manage any outstanding issues.
* Check Omada for device status and remove unused kit.
* Update VPN clients and handle post-installation tweaks and changes.
Faulty Kit Management
* Handle tickets for faulty kit, arrange provisioning and setup of new products, and ensure seamless replacement.
