Position Details Location : Leeds Contract : Part-time role Pay Rate : £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered) Essential Requirements QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification. Eligibility to work in the UK. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one). Skills Excellent subject knowledge in English literature and language. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Effective planning and lesson delivery. Ability to engage and motivate students. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Flexibility and adaptability. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons for KS3 and KS4 students. Develop and implement creative schemes of work to meet curriculum standards. Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing targeted feedback to support improvement. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation. Foster a love for reading and writing through interactive and inspiring teaching methods. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental planning. Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring they are confident and well-prepared. Organise and participate in extracurricular activities related to English and literacy. Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
