The Role:
We're seeking a dynamic and skilled Project Engineer to join our growing team. As a key part of the NEP Connect Projects team, you'll be responsible for delivering cutting-edge broadcast and communication solutions to our internal and external clients. In this full-time, permanent role, you'll work closely with various departments, including the Technical Solutions team to ensure seamless project execution.
What You'll Do:
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define and capture project requirements.
* Design and architect broadcast and communications systems that meet the specific needs of clients.
* Develop detailed project plans (Gantts), schematics, wiring schedules, and bills of materials.
* Manage project lifecycles from installation through to testing, commissioning, and final handover.
* Oversee risk assessments and method statements, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Coordinate and supervise external contractors when needed.
* Stay current with industry best practices and technical advancements.
* Assist in onboarding and training new team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the Projects department.
About You:
* You'll have a solid background in broadcast engineering with hands-on practical installation experience.
* A strong understanding of A/V broadcast systems and RF infrastructure.
* Knowledge of IP networking technologies and electrical engineering principles is important.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels is essential.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously will help you succeed.
* Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team will see you excel within our projects.
* Proactive approach to health and safety regulations.
* Familiarity with fibre and satellite communication systems would be an added bonus.
* CAD skills is advantageous.
* If you're CCNA/P certified, then that's also excellent.
