Job summary We are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic Care Navigator to join our Reception and Administration Team on a part time basis. We are a friendly, busy practice with a great team who strive for excellence in patient care and staff wellbeing. Main duties of the job You main duties will be in the practice reception area, undertaking patient administration, greeting and booking in patients at the front desk and supporting patients and staff at the surgery. Management of patient enquiries via telephone and in person Taking messages and booking appointments in surgery Arranging home visits. Administering the waiting room and appropriate systems. Making appointments for in house clinics and attached services. Chaperoning when required. Liasing with GPs & practice staff Carrying out tasks Dealing with post & emails Document and Records Management Registration of New patients. Scanning and Read Coding of incoming mail on to patient electronic notes. Management of repeat prescriptions Support medicines mngt where required Prepare prescription or query Forward to GPs Liaise with GPs and Reception/Administrative Team Maintain clear working areas Any other administrative tasks as required from time to time by the practice. Based within reception, this role is a vital first point of contact for patients and requires a friendly and personable disposition.
