About the role:
Our IT Services team have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Network and Infrastructure Team Leader. You'll be a vital part of supporting Activate Learning's Core Network and Server Infrastructure, leading the Network and Infrastructure team to ensure smooth daily processes and project delivery.
You'll develop, maintain and support the group's network and server infrastructure, leading our 3rd line support team and ensuring issues are resolved reactively and proactively.
Working with other teams in IT Services, internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you'll work to resolve issues and ensure our network and server and facilities remain fit for purpose in an ever-evolving landscape.
This is a permanent, full-time position offering hybrid working, with 2/3 days per week in the office at either of our sites in Oxford or Bracknell, and travel to other locations as required to support with issues and project leads.
What do you need to be successful as a Network and Infrastructure Team Leader at Activate Learning?
Successful candidates will bring a background in leading technical support and a relevant qualification in leadership and management. You should have proven knowledge in supporting highly available enterprise data networks, wireless networking, remote access, IT cyber security and business systems, including knowledge of design, testing and deployment. You must have proven service management experience including incident, problem and change management, and the ability to write concise documentation.
You should have strong communication and teamwork skills and the ability to assess, recruit and train staff.
Ideally candidates will have an ITIL Foundation and an IT qualification at degree level.
