About the role:
We are currently seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join our HR and Payroll department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Senior HR Advisor, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
* HR Advice and Support - Deliver high-quality HR advice, support employee relations, and act as an expert in HR matters, including complex cases and strategic initiatives.
* Employee Relations Management - Manage employee relations, handle casework, provide timely advice to line managers, and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
* HR Administration and Compliance - Ensure accurate administration of the employee life cycle, maintain HR records, comply with GDPR, and support HR projects and initiatives.
* Professional Development and Team Collaboration - Share best practices, contribute to team development, participate in training, and support the achievement of team objectives.
* College-Wide Responsibilities - Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion, follow health and safety requirements, and participate in college events and meetings.
About you:
* Qualifications and Experience - CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards Level 5, extensive knowledge and experience in Employee Relations, and GCSEs in English and Maths.
* Skills and Abilities - Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft, effective communication, and organizational skills.
* Values and Attributes - Commitment to college values (Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding, Health & Safety), maintaining confidentiality, and promoting continuous improvement in HR practices.
* Professional Development - Self-motivated, enthusiastic, results-focused, and proactive in supporting team colleagues and participating in training and development.
* Flexibility and Compliance - Ability to travel to other college sites, adapt working hours, support college events, and maintain professional boundaries with children and young people.
