Behavioural Support & Cover Supervisor - Secondary School - Blackpool Location: Blackpool Start Date: 28th of April Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Pay Rate: £100 - £140 per day (depending on experience) Ribble Education is currently recruiting for a passionate and resilient individual to join a supportive secondary school in Blackpool. This dual-role position involves providing behavioural support within the Student Services Room as well as acting as a Cover Supervisor across various classes when needed. This is a full-time, long-term role ideal for someone who thrives on making a difference in the lives of young people, especially those with challenging behaviours or special educational needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities: Support students emotionally and academically in the Student Services Room. Help manage challenging behaviour using de-escalation strategies and positive reinforcement. Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with additional needs. Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task. Deliver pre-prepared lessons and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Build positive relationships with students and staff to foster a safe and supportive environment. Liaise with teaching staff and SENCO regarding student progress and concerns. Requirements: Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with challenging behaviour or SEN. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Right to work in the UK. Able to provide employment references covering the last 2 years.
