People Consultant
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £48 - £56,000 per annum
Contract Type: Fixed Term (12 months), Full Time
Working Style: 1-2 days in the office
I am currently seeking an experienced People/Human Resources Consultant to join a public sector organisation for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on workforce strategy and organisational development and drive strategic initiatives across various functional areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with People Services and the People Business Partnering team to design and implement people strategies and initiatives.
* Coach managers in managing change, complex employment cases, and performance issues.
* Analyse HR metrics and provide insights to enhance organisational effectiveness.
* Lead projects to achieve defined outcomes and support continuous improvement.
Experience required:
* Chartered CIPD membership or working towards it.
* Previous experience as a People/Human Resources Consultant with strong HR generalist expertise, particularly in the public sector.
* Proven experience in managing complex people, process and systems issues and driving change.
* Demonstrated experience as a people lead in project and programme management, ensuring successful delivery of outcomes.
* Experience in analysing people and business metrics, developing actionable insights, and writing effective reports and policies to inform decision-making.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build influential relationships.
