R13 Recruitment are working alongside a market leader in the construction industry based in Norfolk. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to lead the cost management and contractual aspects of projects, providing expertise and guidance to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires a professional with experience in quantity surveying, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion.
This is a full-time permanent role, working Monday- Friday from Norwich but with travel to sites as required. The offered salary for this opportunity is £40,000 - £68,000 depending on experience. A company car allowance will be provided.

The day to day
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, plant and overheads.
* Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure budgets are adhered to.
* Administer change management and change controls on projects.
* Keeping the Managing Surveyor informed on the progress of all accounts, both Client & Sub-Contract.
* Attending monthly project and client meetings, ensuring surveying information and cost advice is provided.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with internal & external contacts.
* Establishing a procurement programme and enquiry list, ensuring that procurement is undertaken in a timely & cost-effective manner.
You will have/be
* Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
* Proven experience in quantity surveying, including proven track record of managing complex construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management principles.
* Excellent communication, and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in quantity surveying software (preferably COINS) and Microsoft Office suite.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make informed decisions.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
