Main Purposeof Job of the Children s HomeRegistered Mangeris:
Responsible forthe management coordination and development of a range of qualitytherapeutic services for youngpeople.
Ensure the Homeexceeds all standards as stated in the Children s Home Regulations2015 and all otherlegislation.
Toprovide effective empathetic and dynamicleadership.
Topromote team development and effective team working.
Totake the lead in reflectivepractise.
Toensure that the Statement of Purpose and all statutory and relevantpaperwork is reflective of our therapeutic practise outlining howwe will meet the needs of the young people within our care.
Tocoordinate and organise an efficient staff rota and to ensure thatsufficient back up resources are available in emergency/out ofhours situations including participation in an out of hours OnCallrota whennecessary.
Toensure that all team members have meaningful supervision and beconfident in their ability to encourage team members to think abouthow therapeutic approaches can be applied in their practical andpaperwork.
Tobe responsible for quality inductions for their staff team todevote time and effort to each new staff member ensuring they feeleffective and confident in their roles.
Toactively participate in recruitment grievance disciplinary wellnessand other staffing matters with support from the operations team.
Toensure that all Health and Safety Regulations are followed inaccordance with policies procedures andpractices.
Toensure that all finance budgets control administration and recordscomply withprocedures.
We arelooking for a Children s HomeRegistered Mangerthe following skills andattributes:
* MUSThave experience in Residential Children s Social Care with aminimum of two years experience ideally as a deputy or seniormember ofstaff.
* Anunderstanding of Trauma Informed Care and therapeutic background. Aworking knowledge of PACE and effective understanding of what atherapeutic placement looks like for children is advantageous or awillingness tolearn.
* Strongleadership and effective communicationskills.
* Holda Level 3 NVQ diploma in Residential Childcare/Health and SocialCare Children s Workforce (Or equivalent) OR have a NVQ Level 5 inResidential Childcare or equivalent or be willing to work towardsthis qualification within twoyears.
* MUSThave at least one years experience in a management and supervisoryrole.
* Beable and willing to pass an Ofsted Fit PersonInterview.
* UKDrivingLicense
* Confidenceand Understanding of The Children s Home Regulations and alllegislation associated with the running of a registered Children sHome.
* Confidencewhen dealing with people the ability to challenge guide andmentor.
* Aclear DBS and positive references from all companies where you haveworked with children or vulnerableadults.
* Theability and strength of character to deal with challengingsituations.
