Job Title: Toolmaker Location: Kidlington Salary: £35,000-£41,800 Contract: Permanent Role Overview - Toolmaker We’re looking for a talented Toolmaking Specialist to join our leading injection moulding manufacturing client based in Kidlington. Supporting a dynamic manufacturing setting. This position demands deep expertise in injection moulding tools and the confidence to make key decisions that keep our operations running smoothly and our products top-notch. Key Responsibilities - Toolmaker Construct and refurbish tools to exceptional standards, boosting productivity and ensuring quality aligns with our high Right First Time (RFT) benchmarks. Team up with production staff to cut downtime and keep them informed on progress. Work alongside the Quality team to pinpoint and fix product issues, carrying out necessary corrections. Diagnose and resolve tooling challenges while contributing to new tool introductions. Champion continuous improvement (CI) efforts and 5S practices to advance tooling innovation. Apply your Toolmaking expertise to maintain, repair, and modify tools as needed. Key Experience & Qualifications - Toolmaker Competence in safely and effectively using standard Toolroom machinery. A collaborative spirit paired with strong interpersonal skills. Adaptable, friendly, and driven, with the ability to work solo when required. Sharp eye for detail and excellent time management. Skill in connecting with people across all levels. Basic proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook). Solid grasp of injection moulding and dip moulding techniques. Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (or similar). Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering Technician (Toolmaker & Tool Maintenance).
