This is a part time opportunity of 22.5 hours a week. We are open to discussion on working patterns where these hours will be covered across 3 to 5 days. This is a fixed term contract for 33 months. You’ll be a key role in the Bannau Brycheiniog portfolio which covers a large area in south Wales stretching from Rhaeadr in mid Wales to Gower on the south Coast This role is based in our estate office in Libanus and you will cover a range of sites across the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park. What you'll be doing As Project Ecologist, you’ll be responsible for surveying and recording the environmental conditions of the project sites and tracking the changes as they happen as a result of the projects work. Using your expertise in habitat surveying, mapping skills, and habitat assessments you'll help others understand the biological significance of our land. Often supporting and mentoring teams and volunteers in wildlife monitoring. You will be working with the local team, national specialists and our NRW and Bannau Brycheiniog National Park colleagues. You’ll be actively working with our national specialists to ensure changes to the project sites are recorded on a national database. You’ll also be working with external contractors, farmers, colleges, schools, volunteers and communities from across the South Wales area and inspiring people to be involved in the Trusts exciting strategy ‘People and Nature, Thriving’ You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached.
