Focussed to provide green, and interconnected solutions that address the needs of customers and those of the environment, our client is recruiting a new role pivotal in their Procurement Team as Procurement Manager within Indirects spend category.
Role:
As Procurement Manager, you will work alongside Senior Category Managers to add value to the UK Procurement team through sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and contract placement. You will support the delivery of B2B and B2C solutions covering broad scope categories such as Electric Vehicle networks and large-scale carbon solution projects. Acting as a partner to business decision makers, you will understand business requirements and strategically engage with the supply market to open new, competitive supply channels. The role requires strategic skills and adaptability to influence different audiences at all levels.
Responsibilities:
* Play a crucial role in partnering with the business to develop the supply market for your categories to effectively mitigate risk, develop partnerships, and deliver innovation.
* Help identify and achieve targets for savings, value, and efficiency across assigned categories and business areas.
* Lead the end-to-end sourcing process.
* Contribute and implement sourcing strategies for your categories, ensuring they align with business needs and deliver value.
* Provide commercial, contractual, and vendor management advice to stakeholders to support the mitigation of risks through implementation of corrective actions.
Experience:
* Procurement experience gained in the Indirects spend category.
* Proven experience of delivering sourcing projects.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skill-set; demonstrating success in influencing decision making.
* Naturally adept in innovation and creative solutions, championing continuous positive improvement.
* Degree or CIPS qualified is preferred.
