About the role:
The B-Hive is an in-house creative agency bringing to life the creative needs of some of the most recognizable brands in the beauty industry including No7, Soap & Glory, Liz Earle and Boots own brand.
We combine the capability of an external creative and production team, with the speed, flexibility, and in-depth brand knowledge of an in-house set-up, underpinned by years of experience dedicated to Boots and No7 Beauty Company.
The Lead Designer is responsible for delivering world class concepts and creative across a variety of media. You’ll set the tone for how our brands and retail business show up and you’re able to confidently articulate why.
This role also requires high-level self-motivation and the ability to work to strict deadlines while under pressure.
About the role:
Deliver best-in-class design collateral for various needs such as digital, print, instore, image retouching and new concept development work
Ensure that all creative and artwork meets the brief, is on brand and produced to the highest standard
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the beauty market, industry trends and our brands
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and a highly creative approach to briefs
Juggle numerous fast-paced projects as part of a busy in-house agency
What you’ll need to have:
A degree in Graphic Design or relevant subject and a strong portfolio of work in a variety of media, but you are primarily a digital first designer
Demonstrate that you are a creative, conceptual thinker who can use strong design and art direction skills to bring their concepts to life.
Experience working with strategists or strategic work that acts as a springboard for your creative.
Strong presentation skills across the business at all levels
Experience working from carte blanche position, comfortable delivering from brief to high level concept work across packaging, print, digital, media etc.
Able to work alone or as part of a team to solve a brief
Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator
Experience as a line manager or nurturing junior members of a design team
It would be great if you also have:
Experience in the beauty or similar industry
Strong art direction experience, having worked on photo & video shoots
Experience having created strategic pitches for creative work
Knowledge of production methods and cost implications
Experience using After Effects and Premiere Pro
