Job summary Bridgewater Surgeries is a large, busy GP practice and has an opportunity for a receptionist to join our team for 30 hours per week, 4-5 days of 6 hour shifts. This key position within the practice will act as a first point of contact, both face to face and on the telephone. General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills. Main duties of the job Receive, assist and direct patients either in person or via phone in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Ensure that enquiries from patients are efficiently handled and provide general assistance to the practice team. Project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
