We are looking to employ a suitably qualified Site Construction Manager to join our team.
The candidate will be responsible for effectively motivating, supporting, and managing the site-based team to ensure that the required health, safety, and environmental performance standards are achieved.
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring compliance with the Company's health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
2. Monitoring progress of the build programme to ensure construction methods and timescales are met and taking corrective action as necessary.
3. Agreeing and managing the equipment, plant, staffing, and sub-contract requirements for the site.
4. Working with the office to respond to all queries from trades and action accordingly.
5. Managing the recruitment and induction of new employees in line with Company best practice guide.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants should have:
1. A strong background in a site construction environment, including effective manpower management and client-facing meetings.
2. Relevant qualifications including valid SMSTS certificate, full UK Driving Licence, CSCS card at Site Manager level or equivalent, BTEC diploma in Building Construction or NVQ Level 3 or 4 or similar.
3. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a site manager with the ability to chair and run meetings.
4. A proven track record of motivating staff and managing a site effectively.
5. Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation.
6. Experience with preparation of all health and safety paperwork.
