Job Description
Our client design, manufacture, supply and support on-board vehicle and off-grid electrical power and control products with integration, for clients who require an engineering and supply chain partnership approach within their supplier base.
The Sales Engineer is responsible for bridging the gap between technical product expertise and customer needs. This role involves collaborating with the internal sales team, understanding customer requirements, presenting technical solutions, and ensuring successful product implementation. The Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in pre-sales technical support, post-sales follow-up, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target accounts.
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets in alignment with company growth objectives.
Develop accurate sales forecasts, budget plans, and sales performance reports for senior management.
Lead, mentor, and manage the internal sales team to support business growth.
Collaborate with the engineering team in preparing technical proposals and responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFQs (Request for Quotes).
Translate customer requirements into tailored technical solutions using in-depth knowledge of product features.
Support the internal sales team and provide input in maintaining up to date presentation material, brochures and all necessary marketing materials for the Business Area in accordance with allocated budgets.
Support the internal sales team with planning and running exhibitions.
Serve as a product and solution expert, able to discuss technical and commercial aspects of the offering.
Responsible for developing contacts out of the primary market sectors of the company to allow possible expansion of company business into other business areas.
Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, partnerships, and customers.
Responsible for maintaining a good knowledge of our key competitor’s approaches and performance in this area.
Assume client interface role.
Contribute effectively to Management Team with development strategies.
Remain conversant with new industry standards and practices.

Communicate department activities to General Manager
* Raise purchase request form where appropriate and pass to General Manager for approval.
* Assist with other general project activities, within capabilities, when requested to do so by General Manager
* Able to work on own initiative, be self-motivated and disciplined.
Maintaining good housekeeping within the office area
Skills Required:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience and knowledge in an electrical sales background
* Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent communication skills both oral and written
* Must complete the following Health & Safety Training: IOSH Working Safely or equivalent, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling and DSE Training
