We are delighted to be looking at appointing a 1.0 WTE band 5 Dietitian/ band 6 Specialist Dietitian (depending on experience) to work at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford. Applicants will either be offered a band 5 with development opportunities to work towards a band 6 pending completion of competencies or a Band 6 depending on experience.
We would love you to join our friendly team in this nutrition support role to help you expand your knowledge in many areas including Gastroenterology, Surgery, Head and Neck Cancers, Oncology, Critical Care, Burns and Renal.
You will be working within established multidisciplinary teams providing expert nutritional advice to patients while supporting and educating the wider team to provide patient centred care. There will be support in all areas from Advanced Specialist Dietitians to facilitate your learning.
Main duties of the job
1. To work as an autonomous Specialist Dietitian and provide a comprehensive and effective dietetic service.
2. To work very closely with the multi-disciplinary teams.
3. To provide assessment, management and education for acute patients requiring specialist dietetic and nutrition intervention.
4. To provide training and advice to health care professionals on the dietary management of their patients.
5. To audit and evaluate the outcome of the service provided.
