Education - Early Years Foundation / NURSERY, PRE-SCHOOL OR RECEPTION CLASS
£12.90 - £13.50 Per hour
Responsibilities:
* Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the early years setting
* Adapt continuous provision activities to promote a play-based learning approach
* Provide a safe and stimulating environment that facilitates learning
* Observe, assess, and record children's progress and share feedback with parents or guardians and SLT
* Work in partnership with other staff members to ensure effective communication and teamwork
* Follow and implement all policies and procedures of the setting
* Build positive relationships with the whole class, especially your Key Worker group
* Deliver small group sessions
* Deliver Phonics Groups, following a Phonics Scheme to promote Early Reading
* Listen to children read
Qualifications:
* A recognised Early Years qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare)
* GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent
* Prior experience working with children in an early years setting - either Nursery, Pre-School or Reception Class
Skills:
* Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
