Oakleaf Partnership is working with a leading company in the industrial and manufacturing sector to recruit a Senior HR Advisor for a 12-month maternity cover. The role will support the business' UK operations, foster a positive workplace culture, and drive employee engagement. People are this company's most important asset. This role will play a key part in ensuring a productive, positive, and legally compliant working environment where employees thrive and contribute to their mission.
What is the role?
As a Senior HR Advisor reporting into the HR Manager for EMEA, you will:
* Champion a positive workplace culture, promoting company values and fostering employee engagement.
* Support business needs by driving employee development, motivation, and retention.
* Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring the seamless onboarding of new employees.
* Coordinate annual performance management and employee review processes to drive high performance.
* Assess training needs, develop training programs, and monitor employee development initiatives.
* Lead People Development initiatives as part of the continuous improvement program.
* Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing with the support of an external payroll provider.
* Oversee employee benefits administration to enhance overall employee satisfaction.
* Drive effective use of the People System (Workday) across employees and managers.
* Ensure legal compliance across all HR functions, staying up to date with UK employment laws.
Candidate profile/experience
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in HR roles within an industrial or production environment. They will have hands-on expertise in HR administration, payroll, and employee benefits, along with a solid understanding of UK labour laws and employment compliance. Experience in managing employee relations, particularly in a unionized manufacturing setting, is highly desirable. They should be proficient in HR systems, with Workday experience being an advantage, and possess excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships across all levels of the company. A people-oriented and results-driven mindset, combined with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude, is essential. Fluency in English is required. A degree in Human Resources or a related field is desired.
