Job Description The Service & Team: Early Years Inclusion and SEND The Role We support children aged 0-5 years with complex needs across Cornwall who are accessing early years provision. We provide bespoke support through modelling, training and signposting. The Early Years Nursery Nurse works closely with the Specialist Child Development Teacher to support inclusion within the child's setting in liaison with the setting SENDCo, parents and wider multi agency support. Working Pattern This position is for 11 hours with a term time contract. we can offer some flexibility in the days worked. What You’ll Need To Succeed Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Early Years Practice An awareness of child development and appropriate expectation 0-5 years Experience of working with children with disabilities or children with a range of complex needs, including some knowledge of effective interventions specific to a particular need A working knowledge of the SEND code of Practice and Graduated Response process Good knowledge of EYFS Statutory Framework and SEND Ability to work as part of a team and to work in a flexible way as well as independently. Ability to identify and prioritise the development needs children and providers, providing clear and effective guidance Ability to communicate effectively using ICT Ability to be proactive and responsive and to think and react quickly and effectively to respond to diverse needs Ability to drive and access vehicle to visit setting Please note an enhanced DBS is required for this role.
