The purpose of this role is to improve the efficiency of our management system. You will work on continuous improvement projects to provide more efficient and automated quality checks. You will work on problem solving whenever an internal or customer complaint arises, coaching the team to solve the issue permanently in the shortest time possible. You will challenge our operations staff to deliver quality products on time every time. The ideal candidate should have the capability too grow into a larger role within the UK to supports Sonocos commitment to succession development and succession planning. Key Activities: COMPLAINTS & DISCIPLINED PROBLEM SOLVING Customer / Internal / Supplier Complaints Ensure all issues are root caused and fixed on time Lead problem solving sessions applying appropriate quality/ CI Tools Coach team on problem solving Problem solving KPIs For each type of complaint: Repeat Issues, Days to implement fix PROCESS CONTROL & TRIALS Machines operating windows understanding Project manage the Trials process and procedures with the respective teams Conduct process capability study vs specs to ensure process is capable Coaching online CHANGE CONTROL New products launch / New material trial / New machines installation / Modification to existing line: Set trial standards Approve protocols Review results Facilitating risk assessments with the respective teams to mitigate risk in preparation for authorised changes, as and when deemed necessary by the HaRM team. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Identify opportunities Develop and lead action plan to deliver these opportunities Qualification Requirements Required: Graduate Masters / Bachelor in a Technical/Manufacturing/Science Subject. Proven capability in Problem solving (8D, Green Belt, Lean, 6 Sigma, UPS, A3. 1-year hands on experience in a process control / engineering role. Desirable: Degree/Diploma in Quality Management or Quality Assurance.Experience in fast moving manufacturing environment Salary Range - £35,000 - £38,000 depending on experience Working Hours 37.50 hrs per week Location - Bradford (BD6) Annual Leave 25 days.Pension Employer matches plus 1% up to 11% of contributions ADZN1_UKTJ
