Job title: Senior Business Development Manager Reporting to: UK Site & Sales Director Location: Germany (D), Austria (A), and Switzerland (CH) Hours: 37.5 hours per week The Opportunity As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be selling Treatt’s ingredient solutions to key beverage companies and flavour & fragrance houses in the DACH region. You will be given ownership of your sales territory to be able to drive revenue & profitability growth for both existing and new accounts. The role will involve a significant amount of travel to ensure appropriate customer coverage and regular meetings with key departments including customer service, innovations, and operations based at Treatt USA & UK. The people and the culture create a fantastic company to be part of” – Rebecca, Customer Care Team Leader What You’ll Be Doing The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: Responsible for sales & profitability for assigned accounts in the DACH region and developing new accounts that is consistent with Treatt’s business strategy. Responsible for the management & direction of Treatt’s agents in specific territories (if applicable). Planning and attending sales meetings with existing & potential strategic accounts. Meet or surpass sales and profit expectations as agreed with Director of Sales and VP Global Sales, for the fiscal year. Coordinate the involvement of personnel from other departments including applications, planning, R&D, regulatory & customer service in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations. Establish & adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition and supply & demand. Provide regular and comprehensive description of sales activity, including customer visit reports and weekly sales updates. Act in the best interest of Treatt PLC at all times. Perform other such tasks as are consistent with the general description. Ideally you will have relevant professional qualification degree or equivalent in a relevant field (eg Business, Marketing, etc) and up to date training on latest sales techniques. You will be successful in this role if you: Execute a strategic approach to developing existing and winning new business. Can clearly communicate appropriate value proposition for value-added solutions to a technical & commercial audience. Possess the energy, ambition and ability to win. 5 years plus experience selling ingredients to both flavour & fragrance houses and food and beverage companies in DACH region, with a demonstrable knowledge of products and types of customers.
