What you will do
As an Account Manager, you’ll be the vital link between Tata Steel and our customers, ensuring their needs are met while driving our business forward. Your role will be all about building strong relationships, understanding what makes our customers tick, and finding ways to deliver value for them and for us.
You’ll spend time visiting customers, getting to know their challenges and ambitions, and turning those insights into action. Negotiating contracts, planning account strategies, and solving problems will be part of your everyday. You’ll work closely with internal teams, like Customer Services and Technical Services, to make sure we deliver what we promise, and you’ll keep a close eye on performance - stepping in to make things right when needed.
This isn’t just about maintaining relationships; it’s about shaping partnerships that last and finding solutions that benefit everyone involved.
What you will need
We’re looking for someone who thrives on building connections and knows how to make a positive impact. If you’ve got experience managing customer accounts, particularly in the metal, steel, or construction industries, you’ll fit right in. But more importantly, we’re looking for someone with a passion for what they do and the skills to make things happen.
You’ll need to be organized, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and confident when it comes to negotiating deals and managing contracts. A knack for working with different teams and building consensus will be key, as will the ability to spot opportunities and think strategically about how to improve performance.
While a degree in Business, Marketing, or a similar field would be a plus, it’s your experience and approach that will really stand out to us.
