Deck Rating (Moor)-Marine Operations Support Permanent, Full time, 48 hours per week 4 weeks on 4 weeks off Plymouth, Devon, PL2 2BG Competitive salary plus benefits Serco have an exciting opportunity for a Deck Rating to join the Mooring Marine Operations Support team in Plymouth, Devon. The key purpose of the role is to act as the main labour force on board their appointed Mooring vessel. Reporting to the Mooring Superintendent, you will carry out a range of duties in the task of assisting in the safe operation of the vessel and Moorings maintenance. Main Accountabilities: Berthing/slipping of the vessel Ship husbandry tasks Ship operational tasks and Moorings maintenance tasks Cleaning tasks as directed Drive/operate deck machinery including cranes Assist in repair and routine planned maintenance of ship's equipment Machinery care, routine maintenance of ship's equipment To be fully conversant with the use of all safety equipment, emergency procedures and contingency plans.
