Do you want to work for an organisation that is committed to helping Southampton become a modern city where people are proud to live and work? Southampton City Council are looking for an experienced individual to join us as a Contracts Manager within the Contracts & Commercial Services Team.
About Us:
We are committed to being a Resident Friendly City where people are proud to live and work and where you can make a significant difference to our local communities. We want Southampton to be a modern city, amongst the best places to grow up, live and work in and we are committed to tackling inequality and to creating a city that is greener, fairer and healthier.
About You:
You will be part of the busy Contracts & Commercial Services team, undertaking preparation and management of projects of varying sizes. You will also be responsible for the management and development of a team of in-house trades under your direct control. As a manager, you will assist and support your senior managers in achieving corporate aims, goals and assist in the performance of a fast-moving and dynamic department.
As the work is varied, a flexible approach is required to meet changing needs and tight deadlines. You will be liaising with residents, peers, and colleagues on a daily basis, so communication and customer focus will be essential to the role.
The successful applicant must have a full clean driving licence. You will also be required to undergo a DBS check. If you have organisational, customer service, time management, and physical skills, then we would like to hear from you.
Southampton is a city of opportunity. We are therefore searching for people who can help deliver the vision for the entire city, ensuring we leave a positive legacy for future generations. If you feel this is you, apply today.
