Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, maintaining food safety and quality throughout the cooking process. Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
2. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
4. Follow food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
5. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
6. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
7. Participate in kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, specials, and operational improvements.
Experience
1. Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential.
2. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary skills is essential.
3. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining high hygiene standards.
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
5. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
